Rochester Pro-Choice Coalition Condemns
Local Man's
Actions Against Abortion Protesters
April 23, 1999
"We condemn the action of James Krentel who was arrested Wednesday
for pretending to shoot at abortion protesters at Genesee Hospital,"
stated Rochester Pro-Choice spokeswoman Barbara Moore. "We are
especially alarmed that he had rifles in his car.
"Violence in any form, including the threat of violence to scare
protesters, is not the way to solve differences over abortion,"
continued Moore. "The Rochester Pro-Choice Coalition is committed to
non-violence.
"We are thankful for the hospital employees who first noticed
Krentel's actions and the swift response by Rochester Police," stated
Moore.
