What Does a Feminist Look Like?

Rochester New York NOW
The Greater Rochester Chapter of the National Organization for Women is an active, entirely volunteer based, non-profit group dedicated to helping women live better lives. Rochester NOW works in support of women's health care issues, equality in the workplace, and fair treatment regardless of race or sexual orientation.

Our intention is to make a difference in the lives of the women in the greater Rochester area by dedicating ourselves to several key projects each year. We use political activism to influence change.

As a volunteer organization, we depend upon membership dues to finance our activities. Take a minute, join NOW, and help to keep feminism alive in Rochester.

To find out what issues we are working on visit both our Take Action and Calendar pages.

For chapter officers, task forces, chpater history, and information about our Political Action Committee, click on Chapter Info. Local resources for women can be found at Need Help?.

Rochester was the home of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass. The Women's Rights National Historical Park is located 45 miles away in Seneca Falls. Links to places of interest to feminists can be found on the Local Places of Interest page.
